Mechanic (General)

This position requires 3+ years experience, 5+ years preferred. Must own tools and toolbox and be PA State Inspection Qualified. Preferred but not required, ASE Certified and Class A or B license.
Must possess the following skills and be able to perform the tasks listed:
-Inspect vehicles annually and follow all state and local laws regarding state inspections
-Maintain vehicle service records
-Ability to use computer based software programming
-Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and trailers
-Ability to perform light, medium and heavy repairs to vehicles and trailers
-Record and document work completed
-Diagnose faults or malfunctions using proper diagnostic test
-Ability to use diagnostic code reading computers
-Ability to find, read and understand operating manuals and technical drawings
-Identify failing parts and replace with new parts
-Ability to work with vendors and parts room manager to procure correct parts
-Ability to repair, change, mount and balance tires using various machines
-Ability to use specialized tools for measuring, repairing and replacing various parts
-Ability to prioritize and complete task and repairs in a timely manner
-Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
-Provide clear recommendations for repairs and issues
-Schedule services for fleet vehicles per service schedule
