HydroSeeder Operator/Driver
The main responsibility of this position is to drive and operate the HydroSeeder. Work with and direct other crew members to ensure the project is completed on schedule and according to plans and specifications. Work directly with the Site Superintendent/Project Manager to ensure quality work. This is a Safety-Sensitive position. This is a full-time position, home daily with no overnight work. All Equipment Operator positions require at least 2 years (minimum) experience.
Duties Include:
- Experience driving, operating, and maintaining a HydroSeeder.
- Requires general knowledge of seed and mulch rates.
- Know how to mix the products in the tank according to the correct application rates.
- Perform various labor duties including loading, mixing and spreading seed/fertilizer.
- Identify and solve problems that may occur with the HydroSeeder and on the job site.
- Be available for overtime work as needed, especially during higher peak times of the year.
- Oversee, maintain and organize the job site work area that you are working in.
- Work is physically demanding – need to be tolerant to working in outside weather conditions on a year round basis.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, other contractors, suppliers and other employees.
- Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and correct or report job site hazards immediately.
- Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement, and a good driving record required.
- Current Medical Exam Certificate is required.
- Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening, and successfully complete a pre-employment physical assessment.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and work for prolonged periods of time.
